The list of Hollywood Movie re-makes can go on and on, and you can be confident that more re-makes will be made. It’s obvious that new versions outshine the old. At the very least remakes offer a fresh look at an old idea. Remaking an old classic also serves to remind us just how far technology has brought us from the early days of cinema. Many people feel these new Hollywood remakes are insulting to the original film, but I believe they show tribute and respect.

Radric Davis (Gucci Mane) was born on February 2nd, 1981 in Atlanta, Georgia and currently resides in East Atlanta. Gucci came to success in 2005 with his first hit song “Icy” which also led him to legal and personal problems with rapper Young Jeezy who claimed part ownership of that song.

Gucci’s legal problems consist of a 2005 shootout that led to the death of one man; self defense was claimed by Gucci and charges were later dropped due to lack of evidence. In 2008 he was sentenced to one year in jail for violating his parole, he served only 6 months. On November 12, 2009, Gucci Mane was again sentenced to 12 months in prison for probation violation and was taken away to jail in handcuffs.
